Been a busy few days! Sunday morning, several children and youth, began practicing for this year's Christmas play: Christmas at Hope Central. We listened to and sang the first 2 songs. We will continue to practice Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am while the adults are in Sunday School. Grades K-8 are welcome to come join us. Preschoolers can come practice with us and learn the songs as well.
After practice we had our youth led service. The youth did a good job! Sunday night we had youth groups. Our junior high group had 14 kids comes this week! Exhausting but fun! :) After a massive game of capture the flag (aka flip flop!), we talked about how we want to be a part of the crowd and fit in, yet as Christians "the crowd" isnt always the best place to be. That we need to be our own crowd...setting examples, showing love, etc. We read about the Israelites and how they didnt listen to God but insisted they have a king for their kingdom "like all the other kingdoms did."
Tonight was JR High Bible study... April, Britt, James, Nick, and Christian met at Pizza Hut Bistro for pizza, chocolate dunkers, and to study Mark 7. Our really nice waitress decided that the kids might just like to have their dessert first so we got to enjoy the dunkers before the pizza. lol We read about Jesus teaching about being "clean and unclean," rebuking a demon, and healing the deaf and mute.
We continue to raise money for our CROP walk. Please help us by making a donation!
